Description & Details The Community Development Coordinator is part of the Community & Economic Development team at the Dakota County Community Development Agency (CDA). This team carries out a variety of functions from assisting private and non-profit developers with financing tools to promoting economic development and community revitalization to assisting homebuyers and homeowners with resources to be successful. Recruitment Type: This position is open until filled with first review of applications on Monday, May 16, 2022 This position works primarily with federally funded programs and is responsible for applying for grants and submitting required reporting to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) along with compliance monitoring. The Community Development Coordinator also plays an important role in assisting the team with affordable housing and community development activities, programs and special projects. The Community & Economic Development department assists private and non-profit developers of affordable housing with a variety of financing tools, and works with Dakota County cities and townships on activities that promote economic development, revitalize housing, redevelop blighted areas, and strengthen local services. The department assists homebuyers and homeowners through home improvement loans, weatherization grants, homebuyer education, pre-purchase counseling, and foreclosure prevention.
