NALHFA Celebrates Infrastructure Week

Mark your calendars for Infrastructure Week 2017, to be held on May 15-19. Infrastructure Week is a national week of education and advocacy that brings together American businesses, workers, elected officials, and local communities around the message, "It's Time to Build." NALHFA is a proud affiliate of Infrastructure Week and plans to celebrate by participating in Infrastructure Week events in D.C., and by sharing information throughout the week about the importance of investing in our nation's infrastructure. Many other communities, trade associations, and organizations will be celebrating the week by hosting events, going on tours, sharing information on social media, and by meeting with policymakers at all levels of government to discuss the importance of investing in long-term, sustainable infrastructure projects.
Affordable housing is a vital component to infrastructure investment, and the construction and preservation of our country's affordable housing stock will strengthen productivity and economic growth, promote economic mobility, and will support job creation and increased incomes. America's infrastructure is crumbling and struggling to meet 21st century needs, so now is the time for stakeholders at the national, state, and local levels to make the case for investing in housing, roads, water, energy, communications, and public facilities. Please join NALHFA in celebrating Infrastructure Week 2017!
